Lansing the boil

I'm writing this from up in Lansing Michigan where I am visiting an Aunt of mine. Got up here on Thursday leaving Tuesday. Had a fun time at the Greenfield village today, lots of recreations of 1800's life and several original buildings from the area moved out there. This weekend I'm attending a Ren Faire up in the area. I will have pictures from the trip and from the last Ren Faire I went to hopefully posted sometime after I return.

I have a question, I have written a short story which I am in the Process of editing (with the help of some friends) and on one hand I want to post it but on the other I was thinking of trying to see if i could submit it to short story competitions or compilations. I've been advised that if I am desirous of doing this I probably shouldn't post it online. So should I shoot for the moon (and probably lots of rejections) by trying to get it published or should I just bite the bullet and post it online, any feedback would be appreciated.

Me and Jen are sitting down Friday to do a big plotting session. I've even come up with a way to hopefully keep the illusion that prinnys can grab onto anything with seemingly nothing.
